UCM

The Complutense University of Madrid

The Department of Economic Analysis and Quantitative Economics at the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) covers several areas: micro and macroeconomics, financial economics, growth, industrial organization, econometrics and environmental economics. The researchers of the Department organise conferences, seminars and workshops on a regular basis and participate in master and doctoral programs with other institutions in Spain.

The Instituto Complutense de Análisis Económico (ICAE) was created as an initiative of the professors of various Departments. This centre finances research activities on a recurring basis through specific training programmes, with the frequent participation of public institutions (National Institute of Statistics, telecommunications and competition regulatory authorities), private institutions (companies in regulated sectors, such as telecommunications) or Spanish and European research centres.

For this project, the UCM group is composed by three researchers: Iñigo Herguera (who is the coordinator of the node), Rafael López and Angel Valarezo. Teresa Garín (UNED) also participates as an associate researcher.
